What was built many years ago to give passersby’s an option for a cold soda or candy bar has now become one of the best places to stop and get something to eat. The current owners purchased the market in 2004, and with a lot of work and limited sleep over the course of the last few years,have gone from a seasonal summer store to a  year round business. It's not until you stop that you realize this is what a county store should be like. As soon as you walk into the market you can usually smell something cooking.  It could be double chocolate brownies or maybe it's a cheeseburger right off the grill? Fresh sandwiches are made all day as well as home made baked goods. Espresso is also available for people needing a good cup of joe for the road. We are conveniently located on highway 20 just 5 miles east of Nevada City.
Highway 20 is an historic byway that was once used by the Donner Family. Along with their covered wagons they made their trek west to the coast. Now used by many people traveling east and west as an alternate route to highway 80.  Easy in, easy out.  Fast and friendly.
